18 February 2026:
Kia ora whānau,
I want to keep you in the loop regarding our request for a review of bus route D020308. The Ministry is continuing to work through this, focusing specifically on the number and location of eligible students to determine what changes are needed to accommodate the increase in demand in our area.
Regarding the bus stops themselves, the operators are responsible for selecting locations that comply with NZTA safety guidelines, and they are processing this assessment urgently.
Please remember that getting students to and from these stops safely remains a caregiver responsibility. You are best placed to decide the safest way to manage this for your own children.
The Ministry is progressing this review as fast as possible. While we are unable to provide a specific completion date just yet, please rest assured we will update you the moment we know more.
