Junior Touch Tournament

A team of Year 9 students proudly represented Liston College at the Auckland Junior Touch Tournament on Tuesday, 28 November at Cox’s Bay Reserve in Westmere.

Despite being without the Year 10 team members who are on camp this week, the boys played with huge energy. Speed and good skills saw them scoring lots of tries, many on the back of some impressive runs and excellent communication on the field. The team came away with two wins and a draw, narrowly missing out on a place in the semifinals.

The competition experience has given the boys a focus for next year. Coach Dean Hughes is confident they will be in a strong position to do even better in 2024.

Thanks to all the parents and whanau who came out on the day to support the team.

Congratulations to all involved in touch rugby at Liston this year.
